What if I'm just yawning?
74 second ave, New york, NY
Falling asleep in the Toyota passenger seat. As long as you are awake, read the transcript of WNYC's report on bike lanes: http://www.wnyc.org/news/articles/87977
Access-a-Ride now recruiting uninjured bikers
92 second ave, New york, NY
Ever notice how many of these Access-a-Ride drivers lurk in the bike lane and drive recklessly? In theory, their potential client pool increases with every additional injured pedestrian and biker. But seriously, these drivers are notorious and I will start tracking them more closely. It's one thing to idle and double-park when you are picking up a disabled person; I have no problem with that. It's when they idle because they are idle awaiting work—I have a real problem with that.
Wise Guy

Reading the New York Post, engine idling, in the bike lane. Three double parking violations since August.
Dunkin' Donuts - it's worth the trip

UPS really loves Second Ave Bike Lane

But you already knew that. Also note that nice Bike Lane sign adjacent to truck.
USPS also loves Second Ave Bike Lane
220 2 ave, New york, NY
OK we all know that lower Second Avenue was repaved and awaits fresh bike lane stripes. So seemingly everyone was parked in the bike lane today. I only took pictures where the bike lane signs were clear and where it was obvious the usual suspects were lurking. USPS was so thrilled watching me take his picture from behind and up front that he then moved from his space, drove around me, then parked 1/2 block up so he could be even closer to the Verizon building (at rear in pic). What did he have to deliver? One thin #10 envelope. (Click through for second pic, where you can see he could have easily parked at the curb.) Just two car lengths away, a big space
70 Second Ave, New york, NY
Why bother parking your big beer truck at the curb when the bike lane is free? Just beyond that SUV—about 20 feet away—was a space more than ample enough for this truck.
