Stretch limo drivers have no problem breaking our city's laws and clogging our streets with their gas-guzzling unpatriotic vehicles, and I have no problem taking their pictures. The driver managed to body-block my first photo. I walked away and took a second photo, then quickly disappeared thanks to the police van that conveniently stopped right next to the limo. This is a very dangerous intersection for bicyclists, and selfish and illegal conduct such as depicted here highlights exactly why DOT painted this zone green. No Standing Anytime especially means no parking with your engine running and lights on while you're not in the limo, which is precisely what this guy did.

Act like you are busy rummaging through your trunk by leaving it open and hanging around the sidewalk. This is still called parking, parking in the bike lane.

Look, a whole party in this block of the bike lane. Hey is that the Bud Light truck again? Gosh I am getting tired of seeing him in our bike lanes.

Connecticut car & driver, with mistress in back seat, and a limo behind him, both waiting for the same SUV to pull out so they can park. A likely story. Are they planning to fight for the spot? Shades of Seinfeld? I haven't biked here in a while, but I remember there were always limos here; I ticket blitzed it once and it stopped for a while.

Hey, limo drivers on Broadway & 36, I was there too. They were blocking the street for a fashion show at Gotham Hall. Here's a shot of them harassing one of the posters on this forum!

Also rude and threatening me (guy in limo).

Limos and valet parking are constantly taking up the entire bike lane on Broadway between 37th and 36th. And they threaten violence if you insist they get out of the lane. Seriously, this is very dangerous, Broadway is narrow and crowded at this point. I wish I knew about this site BEFORE i took the picture -- really it was just a prop to get the driver's attention, but another guy clued me in/

I came upon this scene while coming home from a late night at work.

This limo was sitting in the 2nd Ave bike lane while its passengers were buying booze at a liquor store. The woman sitting on the roof was drunkenly yelling into her cell phone that she had rented a limo.

So I just had to call 311. The operator was close to useless though, as she kept on asking me if there was a sign nearby (presumably saying that sitting in a bike lane is illegal). I kept explaining to her that sign or not, even stopping in a bike lane is illegal and dangerous, but she seemed very unsure.

I hung up, and the limo pulled away, drunken idiots in tow....

This guy was waiting outside a club idling his engine. Who knows how long he sat there polluting and blocking the bike lane.

This was the third in a series of limos/cars that occupied the bike lane for the entire street!
