This UPS driver is consistently in the 2nd AVE bike lane with this truck. When I spoke with her, she was indignant about parking along the curb even though there was plenty of room. She told me she was "too busy" to obey the law even though she's hard at work chatting with a friend. I sent emails to UPS corporate since I haven't heard back from anyone at 800-PICK-UPS.

Did you ever try to bike around the East Village on a Saturday night? It's a mess, with cars flooding the bike lanes on Second Ave and East 9th and 10th Streets. Here are just two examples. Just because it's Saturday night doesn't mean the bikers suddenly disappear or lose their rights to safe car-free lanes.
