Ford - Repeat offender, aggresive and dangerous

Avenue A and 9th St, New york, NY

This vehicle was parked illegally in a lane designated for bicycles on 9th Street near Avenue A in Manhattan.

When the driver was very politely informed that he was blocking the bike lane, he explained that he did not care and there was no talking to him. As I left, I explained that I would alert the police as he suggested. I snapped a picture of his rear license plate.

He began to threaten me from his vehicle, and I noticed that his white lights (indication that the vehicle has been put in reverse) go on, and the vehicle began to move towards me a few inches.

He yelled "Be careful, I might accidentally back up and hit you!".

I responded that I had his plate and this would be a very unwise idea. I felt threatened enough to sprint down a block and found an auxiliary squad car (Vehicle # AP8 (?)). I informed the officers of what had happened and they told me that they would do a sweep of the block, and asked for a description of the vehicle.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE! This driver is a REPEAT OFFENDER. I have witnessed his vehicle parked in the same bike lane numerous times. And after this, I know he is dangerous in more than one way.

In this photo, the license plate is included. While it is clear an illegal act is being committed, please respect the privacy of others.

The driver of this vehicle was aggressive and confrontational. I believe that if I had not left the scene where the driver followed me in his vehicle, I would have been physically assaulted. Below I have provided information on the Castle Oil corporation that employs this individual.

This vehicle is owned and operated by

Update - I think it is also important to note that the driver verbally insulted and berated me while holding up traffic on 9th Street near 3rd Avenue. As he drove off, I cursed him. He swerved into a parking spot and got out of his vehicle, and began walking towards me, yelling. At this point, I rode away to avoid escalating the confrontation.
