No Motor Vehicles?

Henry Hudson Parkway and 59th Street, New york, NY

Is this really necessary? I saw many, many private contractor and parks dep't vehicles driving on this part of the Greenway in a 20 minute span.

Parked in Class 1

Tillary St and Cadman Plaza W, Brooklyn, NY

This guy decided it was easier to drive up the Class I bike lane on Tillary given much much less traffic on it.

Caged Monster Pothole on East Side "Greenway"

East 66th St. at York Avenue, New york, NY

This pothole--large enough for an adult to climb into and hide in--has been left unrepaired in the middle of the East Side Greenway for more than a year, as far as I can recall. In order to protect itself from liability, the city has installed a chain-link fence around it, which I climbed to get this shot. Admittedly, the hole has become fertile ground for vegetation--some of the only vegetation found on this "greenway" south of 82nd Street--but there must be a better way to foster plant life. There is a lampost next to the cage, which further reduces the navigable space left in this supposedly two-way Class I bike path to less than 3'. NYC Parks Dept, fix the hole and get the cage out of my bike lane!
