A Huge Semi was blocking the restricted - newly separated bike lanes on 9th Ave at 22nd Street on Thursday November 29th. This semi had 2 different plates - one on the front from OK (1ws 148) and one on the rear from NY.

Jan Gehl (the city's new urban design consultant) is right, if they just narrowed this cycle track by about 5-6 feet it would still be fine for bicyclists but the trucks couldn't get in.

FYI it is in fact normal and quite legal that a vehicle such as this has a different plate on the front and backāthe tractor might be an independent contractor hauling the trailer on behalf of Rite-Aid. So go after the tractor ... he's the Okie behind the wheel.

One more point: Rite Aid is the only chain store on the west side stretch of Ninth Avenue. Talk to the store manager, get his name and get him to commit to a solution.

Sorry, I meant east side stretch!

Oklahoma 1WS 148 owes $1,095 in tickets, two are in the bike lane on Ninth Avenue -- dated 11/16 and 11/18. So definitely call the cops next time, they can tow him.
