Hey dude thanks in part to your great photo work I see this guy got four tickets for parking in the bike lane in just three days last month, on 11/19, two on 11/20 and again on 11/21!!!
What's even more interesting is that if he parks in a traffic lane, the fine is $40 ($115 minus $75 reduction). But a bike lane is $105 ($115 minus $10 reduction). So he is being really dumb by not simply parking in the traffic lane!
But seriously, I'm willing to take the risk to highlight what's almost more dangerous than bat wielding maniacs - maniacs and morons parked in bike lanes!
Thanks for the analysis of the stipulated fine program reductions for bike lane parking vs. vanilla double parking. when I spoke to the people at DoF last year, I believe they told me that the same 75% discount applies to bike lane parkings as applies to double parking. What you've found is that the bike lane parking is entitled to only a 10% reduction.
Now we just have to get the message through to the bean counters at Fedex, UPS, and DHL that their drivers can helop the bottom line by avoiding bike lanes!

Please be careful! You don't want one of these guys swinging a chain, club, baseball bat, package or other large solid object at you.

I keep a U-lock handy to defend myself.
