He could have parked on the striped section to the right--still illegal, but not blocking the lane. I think many believe it is better to park in the bike lane because it's clear, not striped.

That striped space is actually usually full w/ government employees personal cars. A prime sport for TransAlt to look if they are looking for city permit abuse.

yeah-now that I look, think I see the shadow cast by a huge SUV with an antenna parked in the striped zone just off camera . . .
