This guy has over $2,260 in unpaid parking tickets, including quite a few for parking on the sidewalk, in front of hydrants and in bus stops. What a winner!
How old is this lane, like 2 weeks or something? You'd think the design with all the white poles would stop this. I haven't posted my 9th Ave photos yet. Since this is a demonstration of concept project, shouldn't the local gendarmes be out busting chops here?
Seriously, the DoT is really making a mistake by not instituting an enforcement campaign at the time this lane is rolled out. If repeat offenders are documented here, we can show DoT that habits are forming and that the window of opportunity for discouraging illegal parking in their visionary new cycle track is closing rapidly.
