ARE THEY REALLY GONNA DUKE IT OUT?

Connecticut car & driver, with mistress in back seat, and a limo behind him, both waiting for the same SUV to pull out so they can park. A likely story. Are they planning to fight for the spot? Shades of Seinfeld? I haven't biked here in a while, but I remember there were always limos here; I ticket blitzed it once and it stopped for a while.

This is one of the potential loopholes in the bike lane law, cars are allowed to enter the bike lane in order to park. I'm sure these folks would claim they were in the process of parking, even though that is not true based on your description.

I don't think you can be standing outside your vehicle and be in the process of parking.

Agreed-I assumed the older guy got out when he saw he was being photo'd.

correct -- and he gave a very convincing and heartwarming workingman to workingman spiel, something for which I will always fall, Air America listener that I am, which is why I made him a secondary.

The Audi gave a very unconvincing no speekee Englee mixed with "the parking agent told me to wait here" in addition to the waiting to park routine. His passenger really wanted to avoid being photographed.

I should really print up a batch of fake tickets again for incorrigible areas like this.
