Cellphone User Moves on With Prodding

This person decided to this bicycle lane--the only stretch of Class II crosstown bicycle lane on the entire UES--as a location from which to make a call. I explained to her in a civil manner the danger she was creating, but she complained that my tone of voice was too loud and that I should have "asked nicely," as she moved her car out of the bicycle lane. I think she was just embarassed.

Yes, you should have asked more nicely for her to stop putting cyclists safety at risk so she could chat while parked illegally!

I suppose it was the only way to defend herself she could think of.
