idling in the bike lane

Observed by lawandorder on Fri, Jun 29 2007

Another lazy, inconsiderate driver.

The owner has $230 in outstanding tickets. He has a false registration as a commercial vehicle.

Do you actually think someone with no regard for the law, who seems to do things because they are convenient for him, would have any respect for a bike lane?

The "unaltered commercial vehicle" summons is issued in error. A vehicle does not neccesarily have to have the rear seats removed in order to be registered commercial. It will be dismissed.

Just goes to show. Takes no training, skill or brains to be issued a drivers license. This is likely the best parking job this moron can handle.

Just goes to show. Takes no training, skill or brains to be a traffic cop. This is likely the best parking job this moron can handle, but it will most likely be ignored by any police officer, oh smack! Isn't that a police van that just drove by? Typical. I wonder if it is the police's inability or unwillingniess to do their job all the time.

No, that's not a police van that just drove by. That's an NYU Public Safety van that just drove by. As far as I know, the NYU Public Safety is the schools security. Private Security can not issue summons on public streets. Sorry.
