Careful w/ this though as their are rules about when and why you can request private information using plate info. You can check into the exemptions in the Driver's Privacy Protection Act.
One of the things I like about your website is that it is very friendly to my pda. If you were able to include the license plate info on each of the pages that contain a post, I would be able to access that information while on the road (along with the very handy accrued fine research nycbicycle has been supplying) in case I run into repeat offenders. Would it be hard to do that?

the security guard told me that he asked her not to park there- but she did anyway
I called 311- made a complaint- got a reference #-
I told them that the problem is chronic
we'll see what happens!

You can also get their name and address from the DMV by filling out an MV-15 form:

I saw this woman again on my way to work today...I called 311 again and reported her
