Every morning, he's here sorting out his packages in the bike lane as if it belonged to him. He belongs on the other side of Central park West, next to the buildings he delivering to where there is no bike lane.
Fedex Disrepsects Bicyclists AND Customers

I've decided to take a new tack with this 2-person Fedex crew that blocks the bike lane in the same spot every weekday morning (currently with $125 in unpaid tix). If fedex doesn't care whether their trucks inconvenience and endanger cyclists with illegal parking, maybe they will care about the shabby treatment their employees give to the packages entrusted to them for delivery. I actually saw a guy in the truck throwing packages out onto this pile next to the bike lane (while parked in the lane).

See the biker forced into the sole remaining traffic lane. I have now spoken to this driver twice about not using this location to park and assemble bundles of packages. The discussions have been friendly, but he won't move. Next time, I'll ask him whether it's OK for me to contact Fedex about this.

Here's the same truck again, unloading and rebundling its boxes in the bike lane. Must be his daily routine. I'll counsel him a few more times before I go after him through Fedex.
