Since the NYPD frequently parks in this stretch of bike lane, this livery driver thought it would be ok if he did as well. Just as the NYPD didn't bother to park at the curb, he didn't bother either. Lack of respect and professionalism from law enforcement creates a domino effect. If the bike lane already has a truck or police car in it, the herd mentality kicks in. ("If it's ok for that guy to do it, I can too.")
