Bike Lane Submissions
Trailer in Bike Lane
240 gerard ave, Bronx, NY
A trailer of a truck has been in this bike lane for 2 days.
tried to injure me
5th avenue and east 10th st, New york, NY
This guy caught up with me to confirm that I was the one who took his photo. Then he proceeded to turn directly in front of me on 1st ave so that I'd ram into him. Luckily I was able to brake in time. I will be filing a complaint with the TLC.
The privileged class
4th avenue and east 10th st, New york, NY
This kid was being picked up from private school in a hulking hired SUV. Sad.
Amazingly, this driver was ticketed for sitting in the bike lane in the same spot on September 9th. Of course he has not paid.
Another victory for safe cycling in NYC
31st Street and 8th Avenue, New york, NY
I submitted my first image to this website a few days into 2007. Since then we've seen dozens of new bike lanes laid down, and late this summer after a ticketing increase, cyclists enjoyed nearly car free bike lanes in much of manhattan.
Since moving to Baltimore for school, I haven't had a chance to take as many pictures as before - but I did take this one a couple of days ago - the 8th avenue separated bike lane has been extended until 31st street.
Keep riding, and enjoy NYC's amazing bike lanes (Baltimore has less than a mile total).
Stupid and inconsiderate
8th ave and 15th st, New york, NY
there are numerous places to park here but this idiot chose to park in the middle of the bike lane.
Waiting
8th and 50th, New york, NY
This woman was very nice. She said if I asked her to move she would be glad to. I didn't have time to explain that it is unreasonable for me to ask every car to move out of my way. I also think the only reason she moved was because I had a camera and took her picture.
