The latest trick at this contruction site is to leave the gate open blocking the bike lane even when there are no vehicles entering or leaving the site. This increases the already serious risk of cars emerging from the garage just past this spot hitting cyclists as they pop out from behind the gate.

But he was right behind the garbage truck, there was no reason for him to pull into this pinchpoint as he sat and waited, blocking me (it is also against the law to do so). Did he like the smell?
